Matchday Notes - Saturday 27th July

First team middle order batsman Dwayne Heke is our writer in chief this week.

Hi everyone, I would like to welcome you all to Jenny Lane for this weekends games. The 1st team take on Pudsey Congs at home which should be a very tight contest. After a rough month for the lads, the 1st team bounced back last weekend with a convincing victory against Scholes, which will hopefully see us turn our season around. This win has taken us back into 5th place and back in the promotion race after some shock defeats last weekend. It was nice to see our top 5 finally getting in the runs and the tower of strength (Bails) getting some well deserved pad rash. It was a very solid performance all round and if we continue doing the basics right,we will be up there at the end of the season.

Pudsey sit just above us on the table on 147 points so we should be in for a good contest and a hard fought game. They will be looking for payback for earlier in the season, but I am confident we have what it takes to beat them again. Finally, I would like to wish all the sides playing this weekend the best of luck and let’s bring home all 4 wins lads. Cheers Dwayne
