Beer & Gin Festival 2024 - Friday 5th to Sunday 7th July

Our annual Beer and Gin festival is the highlight of the Summer. Originally put together by our dearly departed and very much missed friends, Simon Heginbotham and Don Butterfield and supported by Bernard Greaves. Over the years we've progressed from pouring beer straight from the barrel to now bringing in our own bespoke bar. Club chairman Ashley Free had the brainwave to add in a gin bar in more recent years and the event is now looked forward to by the whole village! We have now teamed up with Saltaire Brewery to help bring a great collection of beers together for the weekend.

FREE ENTRY (no tickets required)

A simple, lean body with a base of First Gold hops is accentuated with a light dry hop of Simcoe and Citra for big lemon and fresh cut grass vibes.

Wilde Child (Leeds)                                       Sponsored by Hunters Shipley

Centennial in Your Heart – 4.4% ABV      Style - Pale

Cloudwater (Manchester)                          Sponsored by Woodheads

Centennial In Your Heart is back by popular demand! This beer was an instant hit when first brewed, so we couldn't resist bringing it back. At first glance, Centennial might seem like an unusual choice for a cask pale, but the classic hop flavours harmonize beautifully with our modern New England profile. The result is a perfect fusion of old and new pale ale experiences.

Extra Special Marble – 5.5% ABV             Style – Bitter

Marble  (Manchester)                                   Sponsored by Baildon Physiotherapy

Deep amber in colour, a malt base of toffee, caramel, biscuit, and toasted nuts; intermingles perfectly with a measured hoppiness giving notes of tangerine marmalade and citrus with a lasting and supreme finish of grapefruit zest bitterness.

Jaipur – 5.9% ABV                                         Style – IPA

Thornbridge (Bakewell)                               Sponsored by Baildon Podiatry

It’s usually recognised as the first UK craft IPA and was brewed with a huge amount of US hops at a time when this was very unusual, which provide a fantastic experience of grapefruit, lemon and tropical fruit with an enticing bitterness. We balance these with a great English malt base of Low Colour Maris Otter from Norfolk that helps keep the beer light and drinkable with enough sweetness to keep it all in harmony.
