Here at Baildon Cricket Club we run 4 senior cricket teams. Our first and second elevens play in the Bradford Premier League and are based at our main ground, Jenny Lane (located at the top end of the village). Our third and fourth elevens take part in the Dales Council League and are based at Sandal Primary School (down West Lane heading towards Shipley Glen).

Our senior players, along with our under 18's squad all train at Jenny Lane on a Tuesday evening from 6-8pm throughout the season. We have three all weather training surfaces each equipped with either a fixed or mobile cage. All our net facilities have been revamped this Winter to provide our members with the best possible conditions.

Our club bar is located at the Jenny Lane site and is operated as a joint sports club and shared between Baildon Cricket Club, Baildon Rugby Club and Baildon Runners. The whole bar area has been renovated and we have recently complete work on a disabled toilet along with a new outdoor decking area looking onto the cricket pitch.

Players should note that the Club's insurance policy covers for death and loss of limb with a limited amount of loss of earning for injury sustained on the cricket field. The club cannot accept responsibility for injury which may result in loss of earnings above the level of £250 per week. In the event of a player being incapacitated and off work, the Club's liability will be limited to this amount, subject to an appropriate claim being accepted by the Club's insurers. Players will need to provide a sick note and discharge letter from the hospital. The committee recommends that players take out their own personal accident insurance.

Maintaining all of this operation is not cheap, costs for match balls, paying umpires, maintaining machinery and grass cutting keep on increasing.

In the last couple of years we have moved with the times and adapted our annual membership payment into a monthly direct debit. This spreads out our main income stream across the whole year and helps us to structure our out goings accordingly.

Direct debit payment scheme

We would request that all playing members sign up for a Direct Debit for £6 a month for a minimum of 12 months, this equates to an annual membership fee of £72.

The direct debit must be set up by the end of April 2022 in order for you to continue being considered eligible for selection. It must also run for a minimum of 12 months to allow for the full annual fee to be collected. If your payments are cancelled, you will not be eligible for selection (or transfer to another club) until all back payments have been collected.

Cash/cheque payment for playing and non playing members

Should you wish to pay by cash or cheque, that is still acceptable but the fee for players raises to £85 per year and needs to be paid in full before the end of April 2022 in order for you to continue being considered for selection. The non playing memberships remain at the amounts shown above.
