After last week's false start, it looks like we might have some cricket this weekend! The 1st XI have their game against Yeadon postponed due to Eid as do our 4th XI. Are 2nd & 3rd XIs are in action with the second team having a double header. A final reminder to get a fantasy team to Simon Bullock if you want to take part this year!

Baildon 2nd XI v Yeadon 2nd XI - Jenny Lane @ 12:30
The 2s are up against local rivals Yeadon. New captain Simon McDermott will be hoping to see a strong performance from a team missing a good number of last year's stalwarts. Usual opening bowlers Sam & Haris aren't available so there will be opportunities for other seamers to step up and show what they can do. Spin twins Jamie Abbott and Josh Capper will surely be in Simon's ear to come on early. Batting wise, we'll see how much time opening batsman George Barker has been practising against robots over winter.

Leeds Gladiators v Baildon 3rd XI - Roundhay @ 1:30
Dave's men take on IPL franchise Leeds Gladiators who are new to the Dales Council League. With a wealth of bowling options, Dave might be briefly tempted to go against his usual 'Bat First' philosophy. The team includes 5 of our juniors who will be keen to show how they've progressed over the winter.

Baildon 2nd XI v Pudsey Congs 2nd XI - Jenny Lane @ 1:00
Back in action on Sunday are Simon's men in the Priestley Shield. The only substitutions from the previous day being James Butterfield and Louis Turner for Will Baker and Dan Grimmitt. Sore legs could be in order for bowlers and wicket keeper. After being knocked out in the first round last year, we'll be hoping to improve on that and see how far we can progress.
