The Heggers Pavilion is open!

Last Saturday, after the third team had defeated local rivals Shipley Prov in a low scoring game, we had the absolute pleasure of un-veiling the Heggers Pavilion sign and officially naming the building after our dearly missed colleague, Simon Heginbotham.

Ashley Free and Simon Bullock shared the MC duties and were ably assisted by Dave Hodgson and Andy Norton who pulled back the curtain (held up a jumper - about as glamourous and flash as Heggers would have gone for!).

Players from across the club, along with friends of Heggers from the wider world (Saltaire), all enjoyed the speeches' made by Ash and Bulldog, along with the free drinks laid on by Professor Hodgson.

Let's hope that the third and fourth teams continue their excellent starts to the season and we can keep the memory of Heggers going with a new generation starting to use the Belmont (Sandals!) ground.

For Heggers.
