Matchday notes - Saturday 8th June vs Bankfoot

Baildon stalwart and king of left arm swing Daniel Metcalfe talks us through the weekends prospects.

Hello Ladies and Gentleman, I would like to welcome you all to Jenny Lane for what promises to be an exciting afternoons cricket. Visitors Bankfoot are in good form coming off the back of an impressive 110 run victory against Pudsey Congs, and with former Baildon players Ijaz Ahmed and Hamza Iqbal in their team will prove a good test for our lads.  Baildon are also coming in off the back of a spectacular Priestly Cup win against Batley which will be remembered for a record breaking 4th wicket partnership of 211 runs between captain Jonny Reynolds and overseas superstar Blair Oakley. Good luck to everyone.  I would also like to say a big well done to Sam Butterfield who made the Bradford league u11s side, this has come off the back of a successful start to the season which has seen our under 11s team get off to a 4 game unbeaten start to the season.  Off the field there's lots to look forward to as well, this month sees the inaugural ECB All Stars Cricket starting on Friday June the 11th where we look forward to meeting new young cricketers to Baildon, if your child is aged between 6-8 there's still time to sign up online. We also have our annual beer and gin festival running between Friday 21-23 June where we have live music from the Good Citizens on the Friday night and Tom O'Neil on Saturday. This is one of the best supported events on the calendar and we look forward to seeing you there.  Thank you for your support and good luck to all Baildon teams playing today.
