Programme Notes - Saturday 18th August versus Yeadon

A few words from the Chairman’s wife....
With 5 games left of the season I can finally see that tiny speck of light at the end of the long cricket season.
Soon it will all come to an end, no more meetings about a meeting for the committee, or the scrambling around on Friday nights replacing the guy who now can’t play as he has remembered it’s his dogs birthday, the selection battle that starts Tuesday and continues allll week and the moans and groans on a Saturday night into Sunday morning of aches and pains.
Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy the odd game of cricket, if it was once a month, for 10 overs a game however after that being said Baildon as a cricket club have come a long way since I became inadvertently involved due to marriage and they should be proud of what they have achieved. Each of the 4 teams goes out on to that field every Saturday (after the minor discrepancies) and try their hardest to get that victory.
So here’s to 5 more week of complaining, cricket teas and after match beverages.
