Programme Notes - Saturday 11th August vs Wrenthorpe

Today the 1st XI welcome high flying Wrenthorpe, who are locked in a close battle for top spot in the league along with Undercliffe. What already shapes up to be a tough game is made more so considering our recent form, which aside from a couple of flashes of quality have been extremely poor. No more so than our last game against Gomersal, where we limped to 324 all out having been 171-0 thanks to fantastic batting from Jack and George. Unfortunately we were unable to defend our highest total for some time despite the legend that is Mushy claiming 5 wickets.

If we can put together a performance I know we are capable of we can beat anyone in the league so let’s hope we can do that today! On the flip side, the 2nd XI are pushing hard for promotion so good luck to them, along with all the Baildon teams in their games today!
