Soon it will all come to an end, no more meetings about a meeting for the committee, or the scrambling around on Friday nights replacing the guy who now can’t play as he has remembered it’s his dogs birthday, the selection battle that starts Tuesday and continues allll week and the moans and groans on a Saturday night into Sunday morning of aches and pains. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy the odd game of cricket, if it was once a month, for 10 overs a game however after that being said Baildon as a cricket club have come a long way since I

Programme Notes - Saturday 11th August vs Wrenthorpe

Today the 1st XI welcome high flying Wrenthorpe, who are locked in a close battle for top spot in the league along with Undercliffe. What already shapes up to be a tough game is made more so considering our recent form, which aside from a couple of flashes of quality have been extremely poor. No more so than our last game against Gomersal, where we limped to 324 all out having been 171-0 thanks to fantastic batting from Jack and George. Unfortunately we were unable to defend our highest total for some time despite the legend that is Mushy claiming 5 wickets.
